Designer Anna Karlin has imbued 10 model Lower East Side condos at One Manhattan Square with her distinctive design sensibility, developing each around a unique character archetype. The “Less Is More” residence, for instance, is a minimalist masterpiece, while the “Private Quarters” residence is a wood-paneled wonder with a distinctly retro vibe. “The building is its own ecosystem,” says Karlin. “A city has all these different characters, so we developed 10 different characters that could be part of the ecosystem, each with his or her own aesthetic, personality, life.”
