The Perfect Evening at Home

Winter is in full swing here in New York. And while the city sparkles in the crisp, cold night air, there will undoubtedly be certain evenings when staying in is the preferred option. For many, this means curling up on the couch and watching a movie, or maybe ordering some takeout. Board games, anyone? All of that is well and good, but the One Manhattan Square condos on the Lower East Side offer such a staggering array of amenities, that spending a night in feels like a stay at five-star resort. Here are just a few of the possibilities for an entertaining, event-filled winter evening at home.

Begin with a detoxifying and relaxing visit to the sauna to set the tone for the evening. Next, stroll over to the spa for a facial. Once you are refreshed and sufficiently detoxified, continue to the Sunken Tranquility Garden for some calm reflection. The sauna, spa, and garden are a few of the serene spaces where residents of One Manhattan Square can escape from the din of the city, while still being right in the middle of it.

Later, when the sun has set, it’s up to the residence for a quick change, and then down to the cellar bar and lounge for cocktails, conversation, and takeout. The 24-hour concierge will be happy to deliver your meal to you, so all you have to do is put in the order. When your impromptu dinner party is complete, stop at the billiards room for a lively game of nine-ball, before heading to the wine room to sip some varietals from across the globe. After the wine tasting, we suggest shooting a few rounds of golf. That may sound a bit out of place, but there is a state-of-the-art golf simulator at One Manhattan Square, and it’s a blast to use — whether you’re a golfer or not.

Before calling it a night, perhaps a refreshing dip in the 75-foot saltwater pool is in order to round out the evening’s activities. Then, it’s time to head back upstairs for a nightcap while gazing out over the picturesque expanse of the snow-covered city through floor-to-ceiling windows. After all of that, it’s time to turn in, feeling like a day on an incredible vacation has just come to a close. The fortunate residents of One Manhattan Square can take that vacation any time they choose.
